Plumleaf handles\u00a0Southern clay and mid-6.0 pH soils quite well. Flowering time is nearly\u00a0two weeks long,\u00a0mostly in morning\u00a0sunlight.\u00a0 A red and pinkish-red flowering selections are now available.<\/p>\n<p>Annual care is minimal, including\u00a0little pruning, nutrition and watering chores.\u00a0There have been no disease or insect problems over the years. I\u00a0admit to\u00a0irrigating\u00a0established shrubs during severe dry spells.<\/p>\n<p>Plumleaf azalea\u00a0may be purchased\u00a0from most native plant vendors\u00a0in the Southeastern U.S., several within reasonably close drive of your home or on-line.
