D<\/span>eer love to eat most of the\u00a0flowers, plants and trees in your garden. To discourage deer from eating your garden, you basically have three (3)\u00a0options.<\/p>\n

  1. Construct\u00a0a Barrier or Fence.<\/li>\n
  2. Make your garden unpleasant for deer.<\/li>\n
  3. Choose plants that deer don’t like.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Deer Barriers and Fences<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Deer can jump an 8\u00a0foot fence, but in most cases this height is adequate. Fencing is made from woven wire and polypropylene products.\u00a0Shorter fences serve as\u00a0as deterrents and usually effective if deer populations are not starving.\u00a0Additional deterrents should be considered (read-on).\u00a0Fences are your\u00a0costly option and limit your enjoyment of your home landscape.\u00a0Create a natural barrier such as planting 1-2 rows of thorny shrubs or tall-growing hedges to discourage deer .
