You’ve purchased a beautiful poinsettia and want to give it a\u00a0proper home for the holidays. Room light, temperature and soil moisture\u00a0 are\u00a0the key environmental concerns.<\/p>\n

Place your poinsettia either in a bright sunlit\u00a0room\u00a0or one\u00a0receiving an\u00a0indirect lighting source.\u00a0 Keep the plant away from heating vents and drafty windows.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In general, poinsettias\u00a0grow trouble free in\u00a0today’s modern homes for\u00a04-5 weeks\u00a0with room\u00a0temperatures between 68 and 76 \u00b0F. Winter heating\u00a0results a low room humidity and daily light spritzing around plants will help. But\u00a0limit the amount of\u00a0mist\u00a0directly hitting\u00a0 plant\u00a0foliage\u00a0 to avoid mildew disease problems.<\/p>\n
