Daylilies (<em>Hemerocallis cv<\/em>.), coral bells* (<em>Heuchera spp<\/em>.), and hostas (<em>Hosta spp<\/em>.) are prime examples of perennials that benefit from clean up after deadheading.<\/p>\n<p>The flower or plume stalks of many\u00a0perennials are highly ornamental and can\u00a0be left to enjoy. Many ornamental grasses are examples here. This is good time to clean up the bed, remove weeds, and add organic mulch.
