Here are three key points in planning\u00a0your pollination garden.\u00a0To\u00a0attract U.S. native\u00a0bumblebees:<\/p>\n

First, add both early(*), mid-summer, and late(**) flowers in the mix for a three seasons long garden.<\/p>\n

Second, mass together many\u00a0of the same kinds of flowers, not just one or two plants, so that bees will\u00a0spot them easier and to visit the planting frequently.<\/p>\n

Lastly, keep pesticide applications away from areas where trees, shrubs, perennials, biennials, and annuals are blooming. In particular, do not use systemic pesticides containing\u00a0Neonicotinoids which are reportedly toxic to bees.<\/p>\n
